Kingsbrook in Aylesbury is an award-winning, nature-first housing development by Barratt Redrow, created in partnership with the RSPB. Spanning 756 acres, it will deliver:

  • 2,450 homes across three distinct villages
  • 400 acres of green space, including a 250-acre nature reserve
  • 490 affordable units
  • Three new schools
  • Nurseries, shops and community centres
  • New infrastructure, including link roads, cycle paths, and footpaths

All designed to integrate biodiversity and community wellbeing from the outset, this sustainable new neighbourhood has nature at its heart, with:

  • Swift bricks
  • Bat boxes
  • Hedgehog highways
  • Ecological habitats

RSPB monitoring has shown a 96% increase in starlings, 72% rise in Whitethroats, and a doubling of bumblebee populations, despite ongoing construction.

Community engagement is strong, with more that £100,000 invested in resident-led events and ecological education. The development is expected to inject £500 million into the local economy upon completion.
